Yoga is truly for everyone, however sometimes it can feel like it is for the physically gifted or those perceived to have the perfect body. Dana Falsetti’s teachings reach out to those who may feel too intimidated, too curvy or too different to enter a yoga studio, who perhaps feel they are the odd one out and have at times been made to feel as though they don’t belong in yoga. She not only encourages students to feel safe enough to enter a yoga studio but also takes it on board to educate teachers how to teach inclusively and what to be aware of when teaching to people who don’t fit the typical yoga mould. We heard and saw such positive feedback from Dana’s weekend teaching at triyoga, dispelling some myths and encouraging all no matter what shape or size to experience the benefits of yoga. We look forward to welcoming Dana back to triyoga in the future.
